Gate and Driveway update

This past Wednesday the dirt for the driveway went down. The skid loader got stuck multiple times...once for about an hour. The dirt arrived 7 hours late and all at once. The loader developed a hydraulic leak and had to be swapped out. Because of the late arrival of the dirt and the leak, the rental company allowed me to keep the loader for another few hours on Thursday to finish up. However, on Thursday it began to rain around 8am and did not stop until around 9am. At this point it was too wet to continue using the loader to spread & smooth the dirt. Below are the pictures of the driveway, doors and gate. The doors currently have OSB on one side. Once construction is over, it will be replaced with multi-wall polycarbonate and stainless on both sides.

Gate and driveway

After 3 weeks of rain we were finally able to make some progress. We spent all of last weekend trying to pump the water out of the low spots in order to dry everything up to get the driveway down but we did not have any luck. There was just too much water flowing off the property and into the low spots where the driveway is going. Hopefully this Wednesday we will be able to get the remainder of the dirt placed. The past few weeks we have also been working on fabricating the entry gate and some of the exterior doors to our house. I'll get some pics of the 5 metal doors we have already completed and post them soon... and don't ask, the replat is not yet complete. I am not even guessing anymore.
